This Airport Security Programme complies with the Chicago Convention, Standard 3.1.1. The Airport Committee offers advice on the creation and implementation of all security interventions and processes at the Airport. The Airport Security Committee meets as scheduled:

Next Airport is divided into two areas, namely airside and landside. Access roads, parking spaces, railway stations, and public transport are parts of the landside while other sections, including taxiways, ramps, and runways are airside. Both landside and airside are tightly controlled at all entry and exit points. The whole Airport is fenced, secured with electric and razor wire. Any individuals gaining entry to the airside must present their documents and go through tight security checkpoints – no staff is exempted.
